Emil Evans - Love Again

I had a great time working on Emil Evans' latest single - Love Again. The early morning starts and long days shooting with BMPCC6k from a DP/CamOP met the brief of capturing a supernatural narrative of Emil's encounter with 'Mick; The Love Doctor'.

We primarily used a 18 -35mm 1.8 Sigma Art lens to capture a wide frame using composition, symmetry and rule of thirds to capture a visually appealing shot. Due to budget limitations, we used the same lens to our advantage linked with the narrative for close ups, giving a distorted feel to the subject.

We combined multimedia formats of the BMPCC, Hi-8 tape and DJI drone footage which made for a challenging edit combining the 4:3 footage to the 16:9 composition. After roughly 40 hours of editing and a collaborative post-production with the director and talent, it created something incredible.

It was also my first time working alongside a great friend Ross Frisby directing the music video. We had a great experience working across the variety of the production. The start of a great partnership, and many more to come, I'm sure.
